This guide explains how to use the test function in the Dashboard App to control and test your motion system. Follow the steps carefully to ensure safe and effective operation.
Before starting, ensure the following:
Actuators Homed: All actuators must be fully homed. Refer to your system's documentation for the homing procedure.
Standby State: means Rig is online The system should be in the standby state, ready to receive commands without active motion.
To begin testing the motion system:
Navigate to the Test tab in the Dashboard App.
Check the Direct Mode checkbox.
Click the Run button to activate Direct Mode.
Once activated, you can control the actuators using the provided sliders. Start slowly.
The test interface includes sliders for actuators 1 through 7:
Control: Move the sliders to adjust the position or parameters of each actuator (1-7).
Resolution Note: The sliders have a relatively coarse resolution, meaning fine adjustments may be challenging.
Smoother Motion: For smoother actuator movement, increase the filter settings on the main dashboard. Be aware this may introduce slight delays.
Start with small movements to observe the system's response.
The Positionmode is an advanced feature:
Usage Condition: Only use this mode if the rig is properly configured for six degrees of freedom (6DOF) operation or any other Rig on the Rig Geometry Tab.
Risk: If the rig is not correctly set up, it may exhibit unusual or unexpected movements, potentially causing damage or safety issues.
Initial Testing: Begin with small slider adjustments to ensure the system responds as expected.
Clear Area: Keep the area around the motion system clear of people and objects during testing.
If you encounter issues:
Verify that all actuators are powered and connected properly.
Ensure Direct Mode is activated and the sliders are being adjusted.
Consult the system documentation or contact technical support for further assistance.
